HELP!!! Am I talking to a sex offender on facebook???!!!?

Hi! Im Jenny and Im 15 years old. This man around maybe 40-50 years old that I don't know added me on facebook, and he sent me a message apologizing that he thought I was someone else... but he was so awfully nice and so I told him it was all right and kept him on my friend list. He seems like a really sweet, nice man, and he has a large family and told me he was raised Catholic. The thing is, he still messages me and asks how Im doing and etc... and asked if we could be pen pals and stuff like that... he doesn't talk about any perverted things though! Hes terribly polite, and he seems like a really nice man. But he keeps messaging me and even told me to come visit him if I could and that hed make a song for me and etc... I was wondering... do you think I should stop talking to him/delete him as a friend? I mean, hes a married man (I think...?), way older than me.... well anyways, Im not sure if this could just be a trap and he could just be posing as a nice man and actually be a sex offender or etc... I havent given him any personal information about me or anything cause I have common sense to know that, but should I stop talking to him anyway??? Do you think he might possibly be a sex offender??? Please help me!!! :(

yeah he probably is. this is why people under 18 shouldn't be on facebook.
